Vietnam Railway Explorers 15 Days / 14 Nights
This special tour enables you to admire the beauty of Vietnam, a stunning portrait of varied landscapes, from the waterways leading to the East Sea to terraced green paddy fields with the hilly central highlands in between.Travel from the North to the South on the Reunification train to have closer look at Vietnam’s landscape and people, visit highlights of each region and have time to relax at the one of the best beaches of Vietnam in Nha Trang.
Day 01: Hanoi Arrival (-/-/D)
Arrival in Hanoi, one of Asia’s most enchanting cities. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Welcome dinner at a nice local restaurant.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour- Ancient House in Van Giang village (B/L/-)
To day we make a city tour with Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace (formerly Palace of the Governor-General of French Indochina), Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilt and nearby One Pillar Pagoda. We then head to Van Giang Village- just 20km away from Hanoi; this is a drive to the countryside. On arrival, the very friendly hosts will welcome us to their house. This is 150 year old house built with traditional architecture with a bon sai garden. We join the family for lunch. We then head back to the city to relax in the e- cap and take in the sights of the bustling Old Quarter and the 36 Guild Streets.

Day 3: Hanoi- Halong (B/L/D)
After breakfast at hotel, we head out to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On our way there, we visit a typical Northern Vietnamese village where the younger and older generations still live together in traditional houses. In Ha Long we board one of our luxury Vietnamese sampans for an overnight boat cruise. In the afternoon we visit the small floating fishing village of Vung Vieng and are offered a choice of other interesting activities: a food carving and cooking class with our master chef on board, an optional traditional massage, a kayaking trip or, weather permitting, a refreshing swim. We end the day with a spectacular set-menu gastronomic dinner.

Day 4: Halong- Hanoi- Night train to Hue (B/L/-)
Early risers can enjoy the sunrise and the Bay’s landscape. Today you will cruise further through the bay and visit the Surprise Cave before our buffet brunch on board. Arrival back at harbor around noon where our transfer to Hanoi awaits. We drive back to Hanoi for a night train to Hue.

Day 5: Hue City Tour (B/L/D)
Arrival in Hue. To day we make a city tour in Hue with the main attractions: Dong Ba market, the Imperial City. We then make a boat trip along Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Hue is very well- known for its cuisine. For lunch, we will try some special cakes at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit colorful interesting Incense, Conical hat making Village. You will see how they do it and also can try making some. After that we visit Tu Duc Tomb and stop on the way for a tea break at special local café shop: Vi Da Xua.

Day 6: Hue- Hoian- Hoian Walking tour (B/-/-)
Today we drive to Danang and stop on the way at Lang Co beach, one of the most beautiful bays in the world, before we arrive in Hoi An, a World Heritage site. In the afternoon, we take a walking tour to explore the town with Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Japanese Covered Bridge and Tan Ky ancient house.

Day 7: Cooking Class (B/L/-)
After breakfast at hotel, we pay a visit to Hoian’s busy market where we buy the ingredients for our Vietnamese cooking class. We will learn to make rice pancakes and some typical dishes of this region. Lunch consists of the dishes we just cooked. Spend the afternoon in our way at our own pace.

Day 8: Free and easy in Hoian (B/-/-)
It’s our free at leisure day. Do our discovery at our own pace in town or place that popular with the local. Or just have a relaxing & lazy day on beautiful Cua Dai Beach.

Day 9: Danang- Day train to Nha Trang (B/L/D)
In the morning, free at leisure for our optional activities in Hoian before we transfer to Danang Railway Station for your train to Nha Trang, paradise for beach, fishing and diving lovers. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Free to stroll around and take deep fresh air, taste local culinary treats.

Day 10: Island tour (B/L/-)
After breakfast at hotel, we start our sunny day by a visit to the Tri Nguyen Aquarium, a small world of many sea species, and Mun Island for swimming and optional snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. Back to hotel in the afternoon. Rest of day is free.
Overnight in Nha Trang
Day 11: Free and easy (B/-/-)
It’s our free at leisure day. Do our discovery at our own pace in any island or place that popular with the local. Or just have a relaxing & lazy day on beautiful beach of Nha Trang.

Day 12: Nha Trang- Day train to Saigon (B/L/-)
In the morning, free at leisure before we transfer to Nha Trang Railway Station for the morning train to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check in hotel and stay at leisure.
Overnight in Saigon.
Day 13: Saigon- Me Kong delta (B/L/D)
After breakfast at hotel, we take a beautiful drive through the Mekong Delta. Arrival in Vinh Long and take a boat to visit the Cai Be floating market, the whole sale market of agricultural products.Private boat trip through the maze of waterways and canals .Along the way we stop at small handicraft and candy factories. Lunch at home of a local Bonsai with the popular “Elephant Ear Fish” ‘Green Claw Shrimp’ at the home of a local Bonsai gardener before further exploring the delta. Dinner with a local family after joining them to prepare the dinner.
Overnight at home stay Vinh Long.
Day 14: Me Kong Delta- Saigon- Saigon city tour (B/-/-)
After joining our friendly hosts for breakfast, we for a stroll around the village, learning more about charming rural life in South Vietnam. After our walk, we head back out on to the river to further explore the Mekong Delta. On arrival in Cai Be town, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. For lunch we try the local variety of Banh Xeo, the famous Vietnamese fish sauce thinned with water, lemon and chili. In the afternoon we make a city tour with the main attractions of this city: Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral; famous from the ‘Quiet American’ novel and film. There is time for an optional tea or coffee at the historical bar before we’re off to that other famous Saigon hotel, The Caravels. We head up to the rooftop bar to try one of Saigon’s many local beers and enjoy a panoramic view of the city with live music.

Day 15: Saigon Departure (B/-/-)
Free at leisure till we transfer to the Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight home or onward flight.
